Applicants must be licensed in their state of practice, carry a minimum of $1,000,000/3,00,000 liability insurance, be in good physical condition and able to utilize an electronic health record for data entry purposes.

Monthly tele-consultation with a Board Certified Psychiatrist will be available to mid-level providers in our nursing home programs.

Nursing Facility Positions ​

We are actively recruiting psychiatrists, physician assistants, and advanced practice nurses to be part of our Nursing Home Team.

Clinically, the position largely involves the provision of psychiatric consultation services to nursing homes in your area.

The desirable candidate is an entrepreneur in spirit.

Position Title: Nursing Home Psychiatric Consultant

Summary of Duties: Responsible for providing behavioral health services to residents of residential, skilled, group and other long-term care facilities.

  • Performs initial psychiatric evaluation for patients referred for behavioral health services by Primary Care Physician.
  • Provides routine follow up visits to patients referred and evaluated for behavioral health consultation services.
  • Monitor efficacy, tolerability, and continued necessity of medication treatment(s).
  • Monitor and measure progress of any behavioral interventions, as indicated.
  • Provide documentation for initial and follow up visits as outlined by state and federal guidelines.
  • Discuss patients identified as being in need of additional specialty mental health care (e.g., community mental health center, day hospital or inpatient level of care, etc.) with Director of Nursing “DON” or their designee, providing clinical direction regarding treatment interventions indicated until patients are engaged in such care.
  • When staff request psychiatric intervention for a patient (when unable to evaluate in person) clearly communicate to DON or their designee the treatment recommendations and/or related medication orders.
  • Provide oversight on federally mandated psychotropic reduction trials as allowed by facility guidelines.

Job Requirements

Licensed Psychiatrist, Physician Assistant or Advanced Nurse Practitioner.

  • Ability to provide services as allowed per state and federal regulations.
  • Maintain required licensure per state board regulations.
  • Maintain malpractice insurance as required.
  • Seeks consultation as indicated.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Positive, flexible, and solution-focused attitude.
  • Ability to synthesize medical and psychiatric data and formulate effective and evidence based clinical recommendations.
  • Complete documentation in timely fashion, for inclusion in facility record system (EHR or paper chart as available).
  • Available to travel as required for provision of services.

Oklahoma City Office Positions

​We are actively recruiting psychiatrists, physician assistants, and advanced practice nurses to be part of our office based setting.

Clinically, the position involves the provision of psychiatric medication management consultation services to residents of the Oklahoma City and surrounding area.

Mid-Level providers must be certified in their board approved psychiatric program.
